Building a Mandolin from a kit. 11/14/2011

It has occurred to me that there may be lots of people out there who would like to build a Mandolin from a kit such as the ones Stewmac supplies. These kits are well known for their quality. It also occurred to me that some people may be put off because of the perceived difficulties of the task.
I was approached a short time back by a friend who said he had a kit from Stewmac that he had bought about three years ago. For whatever reason he had never got around to building it and it had just been sitting in his shed collecting dust. He asked me if I would build it for him. This I did and he says it is the best Mandolin he has ever played. Obviously he is very happy with the outcome.
Is there anyone else out there in a similar situation? Perhaps I can help.
You may want a build to a certain stage then finish it yourself. That's fine. Let's talk about it and work something out. Anything is possible.
